    I'd prefer more time to create and less appreciation for how many people are flattering me.

    Recently my seodeveloper.com website also faces same problem. Some members are copying. This aslo Wordpress website. So that i installed wp-copyright-protection plugin. Now right click and copy is disabled. It's free. But it's possible without copy and paste some members write as same like you. To prevent it only Way DMCA protection is one of the best. copyscape dot com and duplichecker dot com websites just find the content is copied content or not. But not prevent the content.

    The best thing you could possibly do is display a copyright symbol. Adding a copyright line to your pages and your pictures will deter some readers from stealing your work. You will have to make sure that copyright symbol is displayed on every page and every post.

    Place this code your template CSS section. Then no one can copy your post text. :D It's not a Java script, so hard to bypass it.

    #content {
    -webkit-user-select: none;
    -khtml-user-select: none;
    -moz-user-select: none;
    -ms-user-select: none;
    user-select: none;
    }

    Code (markup):

    The best way to protect your content of blog is to put banner of "Copyscape". This is the site which claims that your article is yours & none have the right to copy your content.
    You can also use DMCA web protection & if you finds your content is copied by some other vlogger then you can make objections.
    These banners also helps you to make backlinks

    pretty good but the problem now is so many copycat blogger who wear DMCA badges . you would bother to explain the evidence when filing a DMCA claim to boogle, mordpress or Ving.

    I think you should focus to keep writing good content rather than worry about someone will steal your articles. Useless effort! When you keep writing great articles for your blog, you just beat the copycat indirectly.

    Interesting attitude.

    Presumably you don't lock your doors at night either, you just focus on 'earning more money to beat the thieves indirectly'.

    The internet is all about publishing content, if you do not want it taken,
    then simply do not put it online, it is that simple. Once you put something
    online, then assume it will at some point be taken; You will end up spending
    countless hours chasing down sites that have published content you put online....

    Work with the system, and not against it, put links in your content, and if
    it is taken, then you will most likely end up with backlinks out of it....

    but if you do not want your content taken, then simply dont put it online....
    I know, every one out there wants to benefit from the work of others...
    It is just impossible to protect content since it is so easily transferred....

    Presumably you guys are therefore busy stealing all the articles from Forbes, Wall St Journal etc, and are republishing them in their entirety on your own little sites. Or do you only steal from 'the little guys'?

    Are you saying it's OK to steal other people's stuff period, or only if the victim can't do anything about it?

    We'd like to know.

    PassGoSeo is right. If you are copying someone's work on the internet (without checking copyright/permissions) and justifying it here I am very sorry. I hope internet kills you.

    ...because karma sucks

    There is no other way in my opinion to protect your content beside taking service like copyscape. By the way, there are billions of content out there being stole (rewrite and spun) as we speak. So there is really nothing can protect your content from being taken by someone else I think.

    Yes you are right but that case was on Posterous once a quite big site, and yet there are countless smaller sites out there that I believe do the rewrites, spinning etc. Is rewriting content to be consider stealing, I believe it depends on how you see it but in my case, I always take a safe way: outsource my content then check if it pass copyscape. This is just my opinion though... :)

    Ah! I see what you are saying. You should be aware that Google is quite capable of detecting spun text nowadays, as I've already demonstrated in a video on another thread. All you really need to worry about now is direct stealing.

    There's a free wordpress plugin that stops cut'n'paste thieves, watermarks images, detects copyright infringement and that sort of stuff. Protect your blog copyright free. Click the blue button that has 'free' on it to signup.
