    With the correct software and fake bot software, you can easily get your Alexa rank into the top 100K in 2-3 days. It is no feat to get into the top ranks on Alexa.

    You can check out my tech blog.
    I publish one article a day or mostly 1 article in 2 days. A month back, my alexa rank was 500K and now its 140K. Alexa rank is pretty easy to improve just that you need to keep publishing articles on consistent basis.
    Blackhat methods are just not fair for other people who work hard whole day to get their blogs up :)

    Alexa is a good too for measuring traffic for the top 100 sites. After that, the results can be jimmied.

    Alexa traffic rank is the biggest pile of dog poo around for seeing how good a site is.. period.

    If you want to base how good a site is using a system that only works when you have the correct software installed, can be cheated so easily and in general is a waste of time then you are being stupid.

    As an example: look at someone's random directory.. you will find it has quite a low rank due to many webmasters (I used this term loosely) visiting the directory and have the tool bar installed.. but in the real world it would be only getting say 100 - 200 unique visitors a day if it's lucky (I know this for a fact from when I owned directories and had a Alexa rank of around 500k and only got 100 unique visitors a day)

    Then base is on a site I have that gets 1.5k unique visitors a day and has a rank of 1.2 million..

    The rank data is pointless.. stop using as a basis of how good anything is you are just wasting your own time.
