Hello myself an a coworker have started an e commerce site marketing hair products music videos, cds n A few other products. What's a good route to take to start target traffic to the site...#Newbie
Hi, I run a nail art website so may be able to arrange something together if our sites match up well. For example I can offer your visitors a discount code to shop with me and you could offer my visitors a discount to shop with you? If interested let me know We get a decent amount of sales on our volume of visitors so I would concentrate on quality visitors rather than traffic. Facebook fan page is always a good start and then niche blogs, etc depending on what exactly your selling.
About 'hair products music videos, cds n A few other products' , is that all on one site ? For me, it's hard to make an ecommerce website on top of google. But you can try get some sales by put it on facebook ads and google ads..
I cannot see that these products are related - hair products and music videos? Do you have an advertising budget? At the moment people are getting good results from advertising on Facebook. It depends whether you are only going to sell locally or world wide. Facebook will allow you to target certain groups and certain areas - so take a look at it.
It does seem to be an unusual mix of things however, for a long term savings, do some paid advertising via FB or Google and test it. Sales will be nice to start with but with any new business, you need to test and focus on what's responding better for the viewers.
My guess is you are looking for online buyers for your products. If that's the case, make sure your e commerce site has a blog, open a facebook page and use the new promote post feature to spread the word to reach a lot people. Blast some PPC Ads and make sure that you build a list. Do mobile marketing as well, give away free discount coupons via sms. Make sure you blog about the products on the site, for instance create a post reviewing the latest music video or CD. Also create videos for youtube reviewing stuff that you sell on the site. Take pictures and share them on Facebook, blog, instagram, twitter etc. Images can easily go viral. Hope that helps. The Best of Luck!!
What worked for us was AdCenter, Twitter, G+. Didn't have much luck with FB. Creating a G+ business page is a must.
