Google Page 1 Ranking In 8 Days: IS Possible With Good Keywords

Discussion in 'Search Engine Optimization' started by Herc, Apr 16, 2013.

    Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to share with you the importance of good keyword research.

I registered a new domain name on Jan 24, 2013 and built a simple 1 page Word Press blog 1 days later. By Feb 2nd I was ranked on the first page of Google. All I had on my blog was one good informative post and proper on-page-seo.

The reason I was able to do this so quickly, was that my keyword was very carefully chosen for a low amount of competition, and a high amount of searches. I used software to analyze my competition and once I saw that it was a good keyword, I built the blog and simply pinged it to be indexed.

Since that date, I have added 2 short posts related to the main keyword, and the blog has climbed to the #1 Spot and now has many other related keywords ranking in the Top 10 as well.

I'm now receiving close to 300 hits per day from less than 1 hour of work on this site.

Here's a Statcounter.com screen shot of my traffic.

It`s a COMPLETE myth that you cannot rank a new domain on Google extremely fast. You just have to pick the right keyword, and have proper On Page SEO!

    Hope to inspire!

Well I'm sorry you are limiting yourself with what you 'think'.

I've ranked sites in 48 hours on page 1. If your keyword research is done well enough, it's highly possible to rank that quickly.

I agree with Herc, it can be done if you choose the right keywords. I am on page 1 for an 18k exact match within 1 week. Just need to figure out how to moneytize now!

    Well done Herc!

Yes choosing the right keyword is huge and making sure when your site is built (I use Word Press always), that you include (NOT STUFF) your keyword in the Head, Title, H1 Tag at the beginning of the first paragraph, and in your post name if you don't have an Exact Match Domain.

Quality Content is actually NOT an important factor for early rankings, but it does come into play once Google starts measuring your bounce rates (time on sites). Quality content will keep people on your site.

Sorry I cannot reveal my keywords :)

Correct bro. The most important thing you can do for your individual sites is good keyword research! you can rank in 3 days or less with that - however there will still be some google dancing after the initial ranking.

In essence you are correct - KW is number 1 for individual sites(low competition, high traffic) :)

Lol.Yup its a myth.In my view its the combination of Good relevant content and good choice of keywords.I rank my client site with a small bookmarking trick in less than 5 days. The site is new and as he is my friend worried about business.I just bring in this trick and his eyes are open to see results in 5 days.

Well I'm admittedly not the greatest at monetization. I kinda just use the Adsense and then I have a few affiliate banners rotating in testing to see what works. I'm making approximately $150-$200/month with this site. I was hoping more for around $600/month.

Quality Content (as far as Search Engines go) is very simple. It's ANYTHING that keeps the people who visit your website, ON your website. Google can't read your site and determine if you have written a great article that's of high quality. What they can do however, is measure how long a person stays on your website, and if you have good content that engages your visitors, they will stay longer and Google will notice.

Your keyword should be placed at the very top of your article in an H1 tag. Then you can use the keyword again but use it naturally in your writing. Don't overuse it for the sake of making sure it's there. Use variations of your keyword as well NATURALLY.

That's the best advice I can give regarding content. If you write your articles to actually try and HELP people, it's going to be a very good result, and you likely won't have to overthink things like keyword density.

OP is entirely correct, this isn't rocket science really. I call it going after the "low lying fruit". Its also how you go about ranking much more complicated terms.....(start with the low lying fruit) or, verticals and complimentary markets before you start trying to rank the site for stuff like car insurance.

Another sound post from this fellow.

Still worth $2,000 if you flip it. Not bad for some good keyword research and a few hours work to set up the site.

I'm considering the flip, but it's one of my first successful domains, so I'm kinda feeling like I'd be selling my child. HAAAA!!! Nat.

If someone wanted to give me some good money, I'd probably take it.

The new sites climbs in search results for couple of weeks and then usually go into sandbox for couple of months. Keep checking on for more weeks if the result positions are stable.

This is a mis-representation of what can happen to new sites, and anyone reading this should be careful about heeding this advice. New sites are NEVER penalized simply because they are new. That's ridiculous.

A new site will take a dip after being ranked, but it typically rebounds if left alone. If the bounce rates of the traffic are good, the site will continue to climb in the ranks.

New sites DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT, "usually go into sandbox for a couple months" just because they are new. If a site dissapears from the indexing in Google, it's likely due to spammy content, spammy linking or spammy spam of some sort.

Good quality sites, with proper SEO on them stay put.

Out of the 20 or so websites I have built, 1 single one has dissapeared from the index, and that is because it was over optimized for it's keyword.

Well done Herc! Awesome work man.
I'd just like to say that there is an enormous difference in difficulty between ranking for "fluid" keywords, like, say, "best ways to cure back pain' and "static" keywords like, say, "Plumber Baltimore".
You seem to have found some fantastic, fluid keywords, optimized them well and provided some good backlinking.
    Great job, mate!

    Sure it's possible.

If you go for payday loans niche etc.

You just need a crap load of juiced up 301's + loads of other high value links and you can rank a freh domain in 48 hours.
