I am trying to submit a thread in Domains section of marketplace but its just not posting it! I enter all the details and hit "Create Thread" button, the thread doesnt get posted at all! The button grays out for a while and then it becomes active again, as if i never submitted anything.

EDIT: This thread somehow got submitted and not the one im trying to create in marketplace.

Appreciate it if anyone can look into this.

    Regards,
    Rox

Still the same issue! Anyone faced this before? What needs to be done to overcome this?

There is not error. As soon as i click on "Create Thread" the processing bars show up for a while and they just disappear. When the processing bars show up i cannot click on "Create Thread" button. Once they disappear i can click on the "Create Thread" button again.

Tried it with different browsers but no use.

Do you have any addons installed in your browser that edits the page source incorrectly? For example ad blocking plugins?

Post counts is no longer used to determine eligibility to post in certain areas.

To post in buy, sell, trade or marketplace, you must be an established member. See help section.

So i just need three likes to be able to post a thread? Don't users who have a good iTrader ratings should be able to automatically create threads since it has nothing to do with preventing scammers?

You chose Likes over Legacy iTrader. Any reason?

Been explained literally hundreds of times here already, but here goes again... There are many reasons.

iTrader was deprecated in summer of 2010. Using a deprecated metric to measure something new would be a bit silly. You can't get iTrader any longer, so how would new users get iTrader to become "established"? Even if iTrader *was* still around, it would be a catch 22... you can't sell anything until you earn iTrader ratings... you can't earn iTrader ratings until you sell something?

The marketplace was never (ever) intended as anything but a benefit for users that contribute something useful to the site (that's why before there was a 2 week waiting period to use it... no one could ever use it straight away). So measuring how much of a contribution a user makes to the site based on something that is only FOR contributing members... again.. catch 22.

You've always had to be an established user to use Buy/Sell/Trade. Really the ONLY thing that changes is *how* an established member is measured... Likes are a measurement of quality, the old measurement was a based strictly on quantity (you had to be a member for 14 days and make 25 [usually garbage] posts).

The Likes from the past are still being used. Why not legacy iTrader (added or accounted)?

If the policy has changed and users with iTraders are forced to earn stripes all over again, then it makes sense.

iTrader ratings and likes are not a similar metric... there's no way to convert them 1:1... for example you can earn an iTrader rating without ever making a single post if you were strictly a buyer. Even if it was a similar metric, what would you suggest, assigning an equal number of post Likes to a user's posts randomly to equal the number of iTrader ratings they ever got? Just two completely unlike things... the whole reason iTrader is going away is it's also not a very good metric even for what it *was* designed to measure (transaction reliability).

iTrader is also not a measurement of the quality of the posts you made.

Thank you for a detailed response. Hopefully this measurement will result in more activity for the site.

But some just come here for dealings and it is one the most popular aspect. I guess, we will have to be active and earn likes to make dealings here from now on.
