Is any one else getting this?

Like DP are you Fu(k|ng serious right now? I guess i'd toss that on my site if the price was right too, but jesus h christ where is the relevance between a fake model reality show and internet marketing / web design?

Who ever runs that horrible show's marketing needs to be fired asap.

Whats the point of advertising to a target market that couldn't care less? This isn't promoting the posting of relevant useful information on digital point. Its making the site more spammy

Yes I got it too but was under the impression that it was deliberate, an advertising ploy.

Advertising/marketing isn't about contextual relevance all the time.

What is the end goal of marketing? To get people to see something, remember remember it and talk about it... Which you are doing. :)

I guess a perfect quote for this situation would be "There is no such thing as bad press."

I just don't understand a marketer having that intent going in... but again I have never worked on an annoying viral bad press campaign before.

I'm sure I could pull off some success if I found a client wanting me to annoy the hell out of the internets ;)

Ha, I thought that I had accidentally clicked on something, so I closed the window immediately without actually looking what the content was. This kind of advertising is really annoying and confusing for users IMO.

I agree totally, I was at first very confused as if I was on the wrong site, then I was extremely annoyed and (after giving the video a dislike and posting a comment that was quickly deleted) I started this thread.

Seems whatever they are doing is working to an extent... I mean the show is on its second season and all..

But, all those should be done without annoying the users right? Even I did not see what it is. As Devtard mentioned, I too closed the pop-up immediately

If it was intended to actually annoy, you would see it on every page or maybe make it an interstitial where you *have* to watch it. lol

Since you closed it, here you go... lol

True. But in your face marketing is just annoying especially when it has zero relevance. And if you're going to annoy us with models, at least show sexy ones :p

In this context it is... Their total ad cost was $0, and no one can buy that "ad spot" for any price. I just decided to do it for fun (the people in it are my real life friends). Not like they even asked me to do it or anything... :)

They are all real actors... This was just a "fun" thing to do is all... Jordon (the pantsless guy in Living with Models) and Justin (plays Cliff), each were in their own Super Bowl commercials this year:

    https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/super-bowl-commercials.2632871/

Katie (the one that plays Sammi) does tons of commercials... Miller Lite, McDonalds, Old Navy, etc, etc... Here's some she's been in...

    It's just fun stuff... {shrug}
