What is The Most Important Copywriting Skill?

See, as per my knowledge i think "Writing Headlines or Title" is the most important skill. So, just want to know what more things it could be. Please share your knowledge.

Triggering the desired response from the reader. Sure, a headline sparks initial interest, but if the rest of the text copy doesn't get the reader to do what you want them to do, then the text copy is useless.

 

The most important copywriting skill would be possessing the ability to convince, everything else is secondary.

The most important for anyone wether it be search engine or end user, should be good language. Wether it be english or any other, if the article contains spelling, grammar or punctuation mistakes the user will be less likely to take note.

 

A lively imagination and an innate ability to put words on paper that others find interesting.

I 100% disagree. I am *not* a natural speaker of English, yet I have done pretty good making revenue from writing in English as well as other languages.

 

Title is most important, and i think first lines of article are important as well, if they are boring then users who read it wont read all, and if they dont do that, what the point of that ?

In forums most important thing is in title, then its on article.

 

I hope you didnt use Google Translator to write this sentence so I believe you speak English a bit, even you are not natural speaker (like me or founder of this thread)

 

That sentence is written real good, so i dont see any problems with that

 

My natural language is French. Both of my parents spoke English quite well and insisted on talking to me in English whenever I came back from my classes. Later on they provided me with an English tutor and further on I took an English class in university.
I am at present living in an English speaking country, so no Google for me. But given the choice I will always opt to communicate in French as it is far more expressive than English.

Whatever language you choose you must have the ability to transfer your thoughts to the medium of the written word, hold the prospective customers attention and imagination.........don't be boring! (another important copywriting skill)

 

I think it will be effective if you could find the right word in the right position, maybe some kind of game with the most proper words. Dreamwell

 

I think the most important skill is self discipline. First-class writing requires overcoming procrastination and persevering through numerous revisions.
