    Are we speaking for driving traffic to your site? Or for personal use?

    Nothing can really hold a candle to Google in terms of the volume they have. They simply have too much of the market. But if we are speaking for advertising, I wouldn't let Google be the only place I'm advertising. Too many eggs in one basket. Spread campaigns out to Yahoo/Bing, aol, adMarketplace—test them out and scale wherever you can find value/performance.

    If you're speaking for personal use, download a customized toolbar. If you like one search engine more than another, set it as the default. But in my experience, having a toolbar allows you to always have the search option at the top of your browser, and you can totally customize the experience with add ons and other things.

    I agree that are a lot of search engines, but they are useful in Usa and Canada and some other in China, but Google rules in the rest of the world.
