I'm new to this forum so very glad to have found it!
I have had an e-commerce site which did poor sales but now look at it as a good learning tool. The niche was too small...
Just wondering which path you think is best for e-commerce-selling information or actual products?
Prefer to start with as low of cost option as possible so if products, expect it would be drop shipping?
Any/all advice appreciated.

There are a lot of people doing well as affiliates and as drop-shippers with Shopify. I would also say that a new person could start off with something like Empower Network or Neucopia. The thing is, spend some time on the forums and ask for advice. There are a lot of free ideas out here if you only ask.

either way is good. Selling physical products is sometimes easier than selling information. But there are benefits and cons for both.

Before I started e-commerce I was selling information, and the skills I learned from selling info helped me very much to sell physical products.

 

After we have built websites and then marketed them they all made money except for one recently, and that was due to bad budgeting by the client.
