Hi guys, I am actually a beginner when it comes to SEO. I read a couple of threads in this section, and I found a lot of people talking about "free backlinks". Now I do understand that a backlink can help with your SEO to eventually upgrade your page rank. But my question is: how can a website that has thousands of "free backlinks" help your SEO? I mean, doesn't google's algorithm detect these things and just either ignore or avoid completely these type of backlinks? I am starting to wonder if it is worth it to on websites where you can sign up and get a free backlink.
Sometimes free backlinks aren't always a positive thing for SEO, Google and other search engines often look at the site that your backlinks are coming from and if those sites aren't in good graces with Google, your site could also be effected. So be careful and know where your links are coming from! Focus on getting backlinks from high page ranked sites. Check out fiverr gigs, sometimes you can find a pretty good deal! You must need quality backlinks with high google page rank sites and I think free or paid is doesent really mean anything.Your backlinks must contain quality.
I think relevancy is more important. If you get back link from your related website as well as the content you post in website than it is most benefited in ranking.

Check the websites who will allow to submit your website. To get the back link, select the website which has high PR. When submitting your content choose an appropriate category which is best suitable for you.
Is something is offered free, you have to keep in mind that, there can be some problem. It is also applicable in free backlink. Backlinks are counted by google, if they are from high page rank. If you take free backlinks services from the sites which can be penalized by google, you are also going to victim of it.
Well, I would say that most of the methods of link building is free, it depends on you how quality sites you choose for your link building work, also consider natural links, building same type of links every day wouldn't give you much benefit.

Google never ignore bad backlinks. While building links for a website, many webmaster build too many links and in those amount of links there are lots of bad links webmaster build. These bad links effect website ranking.
If your link profile has too many low quality links and few quality links then the ranking would be decided accordingly. It should be lots of high quality links and less less quality links, it would look good to Google.
