Why google does not show my backlinks? I have created many backlinks in forums and blogs but when I type in google "link:mywebsite" it shows
"Your search - link:mywebsite URL - did not match any documents.".. Does any body know that How google will show my backlinks???

Create a Google web master tools account and verify your website. You will see the back links on the Dashboard page > Traffic > Links to my site.

It will take about 2 weeks for Google WMT to pick these back links up.

Majestic SEO, Open Site Explorer, and Market Samurai take a lot longer to pick up back links. 2 months is not a long time for these 3.

Use http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/ for checking your backlinks. It's the best one to use :)

To best estimate the back-links to your website you can:
    1. Register the site to Google Webmaster Tools and go to Traffic -> Links to your site
    2. Register the site to Google Analytic and go to : Traffic Sources -> Referrals
It takes time to this data to appear, so be be patience :)
There are many issues using the link:DOMAIN filter, it depends on the TLD of Google website and many other factors.
