    Hello DP Members,

One of my friend is starting a Business that will provide Internet Marketing Services(SEO, SEM, PPC, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Bing Ads, Google Adwords etc) for all companies.

He asked me for Business Name suggestions that should be friendly and meaningful. I'm confused what to suggest and thought to ask my question here.

    Looking forward for name suggestions.

    Thanks in advance.

Hey icey7, thanks for your suggestions. This is sounding good but I'm missing a connectivity with business nature. Can you share something that relates to the business nature?

    Hi

    IMS.com (internet market services)
    MarketingOnline.com
    OnlineSuccess.com
    MarketingNinja.com
    OnlineMarketingNinja.com
    InternetMarketingPro.com
    MarketingManager.com
    WebMarketingNinja.com

Or some variation of the above.

For a site like this, get a .com domain name, and keep the domain name as short as possible.

    Thanks

IMS.com (internet market services) -This should not be easily available.
MarketingOnline.com - This is quiet fine.
OnlineSuccess.com - This is I Liked Much and would like to elaborate more here and make it more shorter as you said.
MarketingNinja.com, OnlineMarketingNinja.com, InternetMarketingPro.com, MarketingManager.com, WebMarketingNinja.com : Here Ninja is already termed with Angry Birds (Ninja) Game. So I dont think this will be good to go. What's say?

    Hi

It wont be easy grabbing a perfect domain name, as most good variations will have been taken.

What we would need to do is, go to namecheap.com, with our list of keywords, and try and find a variation that is still available.

    eg. web-success, online-success, webmarketing, netmarketing.

If you can find a good mixer word, such as "Advanced", or "Pure" you may have better luck, such as: advanced-Marketing.com or PureNetMarketing.com.

Here is a reference of some domain names which are currently available.
    success-marketing.net
    net-success.net
    net-marketing.us
    advanced-web-marketing.com

    Thanks

    Hello Man

If you wont name for you business, must be unique, becouse google love new thins. If you use name , example Net-Marketing, people will find you terribly difficult because word Marketing is much expanded and global words in the world.

If you have word who is not in use, and create brand with this, google rank go up and make you so better then other.

Just find name , unique name , and make brand.

Hey icey7, what you said is correct. It is not that easy to finalize the name and I'm agree with vpsguru as well. I suggested my friend to take something unique and meaningful but unable to proof the unique name meaningful. Could you suggest something?

I'm thinking to have some LATIN name. What's your view on this?

Thanks icey7 for all your suggestions. Let me think. Marketing is a very common keyword and ofcourse very competitive too. This may trouble in promoting the business.

Although using keywords in your domain name is good for SEO, It is also good to have a catchy trademark name. Think, Sony, or Akai, these words have no meaning, but they very cool business names to have.

So domain names Like NetX or VeroX, are cool catchy trademarks to use.

    Thanks

Dont go for generic forms like marketing-success.com or something similar. It can be seen as spammy. Go for a very catchy name. It will be very professiocl

Hi, my suggestion is to find a name in which you have your main keyword and for which the .com is available. One cheesy example would be: your name is Rudy and you do marketing, then you call it "Marketing Rudy", and you obtain the domain marketingrudy.com. This will give you the best results when tackling SEO and getting good visibility on Google.

But don't think that your business will market itself (unless you win the lottery). Be prepared for lots of "cold calling" if you want to succeed...

I'd love to help but honestly this kind of search is best done one-on-one and in person. Personal consultation will reveal preferences that you haven't suggested already and may help in defining your vision for the company and what values you are trying to portray.

Examples of what I would want to know
    What is your favorite color
    Favorite animal(s)
    Favorite number(s)
    Business expertise
    Favorite sport(s)
    Style of writing
Typical speech patterns (everyone has a speech pattern, some more distinct than others)
    Locality
    Personal values
    etc.

Some of this stuff sounds irrelevant and might be, but it can help in defining a name that you will actually like, and that can be effective as a brand.

Thanks icey7, walts1, and Charles Bisaillon. I do consider all your suggestions but they are somehow interrupting with each other. I understand Sony, Akai don't connect with their business nature still have a big brand. Same we can consider for APPLE which is actually a Fruit and First thing that strike in mind is "An Apple in a day, keeps a Doctor Away" but this is a Big Giant world wide.

I also suggested my friend not to go by keyword but by uniqueness and here i agree with icey7.

Hey sweeper240, I liked your idea.

    Let me answer you.

What is your favorite color - Sky Blue
    Favorite animal(s) - Butterfly
    Favorite number(s) - 7
    Business expertise - Online Marketing
    Favorite sport(s) - Badminton
Style of writing - Bradley Hand ITC
Typical speech patterns (everyone has a speech pattern, some more distinct than others) - Soft spoken
Locality ---- Confused here. Are you talking about Nation? If Yes, it is India
Personal values - Family, Business, and Friends

Now waiting for your reply. :)

You check out some of the trendy names coming out nowadays, alot are clever mispellings. Like Tumblr, or Fiyr, Flickr etc... takes some creativity but there are good names out there. Google looks at brand strength too not just keywords in a domain, so if it designates well with your customer it's a good investment.
