Most webmasters do not like link exchange.

Web directory owners seems not like exchange to other directory site.
I can not find any about this thread so far in "link exchange" section.
I also not got reply after I sent to link quirement.
why???

 

Most of the time,people don't respond to link exchange request, you should never loss hope.

Keep on trying.

 

I used to entertain that only to be fooled - they add the link and you add their link.

few months later when I check - I still have their link - they removed my link..

Few claim - oh I sold that site
oh, I changed the template and lost your link
Those the lucky few you can even contact..

When you deal with bad people few times you just give up.

 

A bunch of directories with a link exchanges between other directories all got banned by Google at one time and it became rather well known to not do it. Also cross linking your directories used to get you in trouble, not sure if that still applies today.

 

I have found the same results over the past couple years. I've also learned that since my website has a PR of 3, that I want links to sites with a higher PR than mine. Once in a while you do get lucky. But think of it this way - if you had the PR 7 website would you want to a link exchange with a PR 0-2 website? A LOT of websites out there have 0-2 web rank. I've been battling for over 2 years now to get to a 4!

 

How well your website ranks in the search engine results does not entirely depend on your page rank, in fact the importance had been diminished greatly and is just one small factor effecting your rank of many hundreds of considerations.
