Hi prijatel thanks for entry but too much wording. The text will look too small when its in the magazine and will b unreadable.
It will be readable, checkmarks text it's exact usual small size for inner pages. Readability on printed materials is x5 higher then on computer display, or in other words you need to check how clean this ad will look in 200% of the preview size above while real size it will be 50% of the preview size. However, more immportant how innitialy the ad is imagined to look and it will be great if you engage more actively with more detailed proposals for corrections. for example, in the bubble we can have other shorther message insted of 5 questions (shorther automatically meaning larger font size), but you should try to assist with proposing hew message, or maybe client want's something more colourful woth more images???
we are really impressed with the quality of the entries and will be choosing a winner shortly. Competition closes at midnight BST - no entries after that thanks.
I have made a try with using larger computer images into the background (faded a little bit), but the result is far from good (at this small size complex images are not detailed enough on the resulted printed ad), so so bad result that I don't actualy want to propose it as bid-entry. The "Real size on 72dpi computer display" above is a version that you can actualy measured out on the computer screen in real size and get real 6,3cm X 9,4cm. +++ Also, (if I may note/propose additionaly without being marked as "boring, boring" if not for now for future projects about magazine adverts, it will be very hapfull if you can supply image/screen of the page of the magazine (older number of the magazine, same page with old advert at same position) where the ad will be placed/positioned. That will give glimpse into the the magazine general colours/style so some of it may serve as inspiration for colour management in the design. And, the general point of having the best advert design on the same page or the whole magazine, also requires preview on the last published No. of the magazine. It help's in determination for the minimum required quality and style of the design for the advert. These are just honest notes that should be taken into consideration to be requested for the client to supply them.
Bluenix, pls. explain me what you mean/thnik by "original version"? The image you posted is just: - Resolution = 95,987dpi (min. required for printing is 300dpi, more over this is noted in the project description) - Size W=14,82cm H=22,1cm (required is W=6,3cm H=9,4cm)
Hmm! This is stupid and unfair, contest by itself has meaning of competition, so how do you compete with the unknown and make something better then the unknown??? = Unknown! Go engage yourself a private project, not in contest! I require by the CH to post on the forum any design recived via pm. I will make him better then the one he recived, that is the point of the contest.
contest now closed WINNER - Puttu Sorry to those who didn't win but thanks to all who took the time to enter. The standard was great - we could have happily used any of the entries.
