I believe the one of the factors of the results it's indeed because of the LIKES system. I completely understand the board owner, wanting to get rid of all spammers, however this method having to publish content/reply to threads just to get 3 likes and be able to post in other forum areas it's not a good way to approach his goal.

The best defense against spammers it's a good moderating team. Having moderators for each individual forums.

Good reply. I genuinely feel that DP has possibly got it wrong by allowing Commenters to get more LIKES than the thread starter. Only people who start a thread should be able to get LIKES not people who post their 2 cents worth as a reply or comment. That will increase the quality of posts.

It is fine to insert a LIKE system on sections of the website or forum where people ask questions. That way the answers get LIKES. But putting it on sections such as General Chat, etc. where people are actually getting the most LIKES now is just funny.

And from what I know about SEO I think irrelevant and spammy comments are going to push DP's pages down in the SERPs in the next few months.

I think the forum is losing the bad people who do not bring any value to the forum .

I think the measurements taken by the staff here, is going to make the forum a better place to be for everyone here

Let us hope so. There won't be too many places for all of us to go spend some time on if these changes don't work within the next few months.

Do not worry, they will work for everybody here. It might take sometime to get rid of the bad members

I think new look of the forum is the reason. Some newbies are confused about using the forum, old users know where they have to post, where they can get work etc

My question is why do I want to give DP the ability to post on Twitter if I link my account? Seems like a huge invasion of my Twitter account. It has been hacked a couple of times already. I like to control what is posted there. Tell me why it would be a good thing? Also I my deleted FB account long ago. Just recently F-Secure informed me it is riddled with mobile phone scams. There is no privacy protection there at all. I am sure Mark does not care. He has his billions already. I am not sure integrating multiple accounts is a good thing. Those who know better should enlighten me on this please. DP still has PR 5 which is good. All my sites took a drop in PR with Google algorithm changes. Hard to find a more informative site than Shawn's.

Exactly that. It certainly doesn't benefit US if that's what you think.

Thanks for the answers guys. No I do not link much anymore. Most of the back link requests I get for my sites are from people who do not own the domain they state they will post mine at. lol Out of the last 40 sites I checked, only 2 were legit.

I got this alot from the old DP as well,
Although I feel like there is far less spam in general on here now, I too feel like the spam will take the path of least resistance, be that tracking down your details form your profile and requesting stuff there or via PM'ing you.. Which is much harder, I think, to moderate.

Not at all. Just click report. I do that when a spamjit messages me. And set them to ignore, too. The morons won't be able to contact you again.

I understand where you're coming from but that would require a large number of moderators, and I don't think mods are that easy to find. So really, that's not a realistic solution.

I'm really happy to see this statistics.. System is working and the number of spammers are decreasing, so traffic on the site is lower, but quality of the forum rises a lot.. Better to have few good threads than hundread retarded..

    Dear Spoiltdiva,

I am selling space for advertisement at casino gambling sites through this forum (DP). But doing this type of work first of all you have to add verification code at your site. If you are doing such business with 20 sites then you can post 20 thread when you want. After this you can bump the thread only and for this you have to wait for 1 month. So I am not getting how can I grow my business.

If possible then do a better reply which can help me. If possible then send me a PM.

    Thanks & Regards

If you buy premium membership you can bump more frequently.
