Google Alerts Not Working?

    Hi Guys,

    So I get google alerts a lot about competitors that advertise under the same keywords as me.. But when I add new pages to websites... blogs... etc... I rarely ever get alerts about my own sites being found by Google??? Why would this be.. my competitor does basically the same as me and im always getting google alerts with all of their work?!!?!

    Please let me know!

    Your keywords are your competitors thats why you are getting alerts from Google....... as those keywords from your site is listed in Google.

    Yeah. I actually tried out Google alerts yesterday and it just isn't working correctly. It does not give the results it should, etc. Which is unfortunate because it's a good tool.

    Google alerts used to work for me too (used to get a few emails a day with them) but for the last few years they just stopped working. It's a bit odd for sure.

    Same here that sometime I get google alert about my backlinks i create on that keywords but sometime not.
    I wonder is it the keywords i create on that site are not being index, that is why i'm not taking any alert?
