Yeah, it is (surprisingly) not too bad for the health (it can help reduce heart problems). Depends on how much you drink (one beer a day is fine). Red wine is better, though. I drink both, although like to use wine a lot when cooking (drink it and for the food). Supposedly whisky is good for you, too. I keep myself in good supply of all three.
How about buying a crate of fresh orange juice? At least, you'd know that it wouldn't do any harm to your body To level up your energy during the day, you can also opt for energy drinks that contain ginseng or energy booster... Beer can't do it, can it?
Energy drinks? They can cause all kinds of problems with blood pressure, moods, sleep, etc. Unlike beer, which is good for you and helps you sleep. Orange juice? It can increase the risk of diabetes (unlike beer, which can help reduce the risk), it can damage your teeth, and the list goes on. Just like alcoholic drinks such as beer, wine and whisky, it should be drank in moderation.
A good red wine will never leave you with a hangover (it has to be red and has to be of better quality). Beer is better for partying, but boy, it can make you feel sick for days.
By the way, another thing about wine, drink it with some sharp cheddar cheese. a) it tastes awesome. b) your stomach will thank you later.
