What's the exact error the system gives you when you try?

    I think that is a restriction with paypal . Check this - > https://www.paypal.com/in/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-receiving-fees-outside

Probably you can ask the buyer to pay you to your bank account or ask him to send a money order.

I think Shawn might not be in a position to solve this as this is a limitation with paypal.

We notice that you are attempting to pay an Indian resident user. The payment you initiated has been blocked. PayPal only facilitates international payments and cannot be used for domestic payments within India. We suggest you find alternative methods to complete the payment. If you believe that the person you attempted to pay is not based in India, please contact PayPal customer support.

Would need to test it with PayPal's adaptive payments API though...

Mostly just curious if the same restrictions apply when done via adaptive payments since internally our PayPal account is used to set up the transaction (not the seller's).

Well ultimately it's up to PayPal... we can't make them change their policies.

I believe that it's better to verify your paypal with credit card from indian bank and you can process your payment to an indian as well.
Account department of my company is making payment to indian paypal users also. Better consult your bank for this...

    how is that possible?

Every one has a verified PayPal account and we can't pay to other indian PayPal account. It's RBI rules.

this is the only one solution. even you can close auction and tell him to pay via bank transfer because there is no other way to pay one Indian PP to other Indian PP :(

With Paypal as medium, we can't use Credit Card also to send money.

Well there is nothing we can do on our end... It's PayPal's policies.

    May be something like

when Indian User Bid on other Indian User thread it should not allow to bid but they can contact them via PM and do neft or other payment method.
