Hi, I am running online store with few different franchises but as a example domain.com/franchise1/category1 domain.com/franchise1/category2 domain.com/franchise2/category1 domain.com/franchise2/category1 this pages are similar but maybe 10% of the contents are unique on each page to page..But google is not indexing this pages. Any advice appreciated. Thanks
10% unique content is very less.... You should probably have more unique content. You can write about the benefits of the product. Also if you could write what your website is about... you would get proper and useful suggestions....
Google wont mark you down for having the same content on multiple pages but as you are experiencing you may find they don't index all of the pages. Best thing to do is re-write each of the pages and resubmit to Google. It may take a while before they decide to index them. You can prompt them to index each page by submitting it to them in the Webmaster Tools Hope this helps James Lennon
After the panda and penguin update, content is not just king but a sparta. Forget about getting indexed, google will punish them for no unique or duplicate content. Suggestions: 1)Create unique content, it could be on the same topic but the language should be different. It's not tough to do that 2)Resubmit your site to Google for indexing(Do not keep adding new sitemaps) 3)Have patience, google will index your site within a 10 - 15 days Hope it helps
What is telling you that Google isn't indexing those pages? Get yourself a free Google Webmaster Tools account and follow the instructions to get it implemented. The report can tell you things like problems with your site, why pages aren't indexed, etc.
