    Hello People,

Thanks for stopping by on my thread.

I am now developing a Ecommerce such as youtailor.com and tailorstore.com.

We are now stuck on the question for which plattform we should choose,

We are currently been trying to develop it in ASP.net, but this seems like reinventing the wheel, since there already is so many great plattform such as magento, joomla etc.

We would really like to try out magento, but is this a good sulotion ?

The whole ecommerce is based on custom shirts vizualized online( see link: http://www.tailorstore.no/skreddersydde-skjorter)

Can it be made a extension for example: magento, drupla, joomla for this ?

Also if you know anybody that can create extensions, references would be higly appriciated.

Thanks again for stopping by this thread.

Im looking so much forwards for your opinion, this is a real dealbreaker for us, to continue our development of site.

+1 w/ Magento - though you'll need some skill to put it together. They also have a GO service where they do the hosting as well.

There has been an increasing preference for Magento, if you have a fair knowledge of development, it should be a piece of cake. You'd find a number of modules and extension that can help you achieve the best functionality for your store. You should also know that Magento can at-times be a resource hog in a live environment, so make sure that you also optimize it well.

Another alternative that can be considered is PrestaShop, you'd find nearly the same functionality as Magento and comes with a number of free modules and extensions. You probably want to try your hands on that as well. And yes, it's open source so you don't have to pay to get a copy of that. ;)

Hi, if you're looking for a commercial class solution, I would advise Opting for Magento. Yes you could try a 100% custom solution, but why take this route when much of the functionality is already available, and so just needs integration and some customisation.
Magento is robust and gives you: customer segmentation; targeted promotions; powerful UI, search & navigation; customer assisted shopping; brand loyalty management via private sales, gift rewards etc. Highly scalable and performant. One licence allows multi site and multi custom brand stores all managed via single admin UI. THousands of transactions per hour and page caching.

If you want to discuss Magento or alternative eCommerce custom solutions, then please get in touch. Happy to help. Paul

Magento is latest technologies to develop ecommerce website. You should have good financial for the magento ecommerce development because of its little bit cost extra rather then other CMS development but there are lot chance to get your website perform well.
