I read about a couple people in another thread that have used their service to offer an affiliate program for their site. Has anyone else used it and liked it? I'm also curious to know if it generated any leads for them and helped them get connected with webmasters with like-content. Do you feel it did a good job helping website owners find products for their site much like CJ.com does? Ian
Hi Ian, www.shareasale.com really is the best small network! Only one of my client's is on SAS right now but I wish more were. We have many big CJ clients. But many of our smaller programs are set up on in-house software. A lot of affiliates prefer a network and many of them prefer SAS, so it's a good place to be. Regardless of the network you set up on though, if you just sit back and hope the right ones join you will have dissappointing results. 95% of affiliates that join won't make sales for you. So the key is to find the 5% that are a great match for your program, really treat them well and take good care of them. There are lots of great affiliates on SAS, you just need to find them and nurture them once you get them on board.
How is their interface, and is it difficult to implement the code into the site? I've read that Brian is supposed to be extremely helpful, but do you feel it's easy enough to implement on your own? Ian
The interface tracking and reports are all fine. I never do the code integration on the client site, the client always does that part. But that part is the same no matter who you work with. It's just some code that goes on the check out page. When I read CJs directions, the 1st program I managed, it looked like greek to me because I'm not technical. But the web designers knew what to do with it. I have never heard anyone say that part is hard. I know if you got stuck Brian would help, but really, that's probably the easiest part of setting a program up.
SAS works good for me. I have a couple dozen websites promoting SAS based affiliates and it's doing good for me. I get the check on time every month
All very nice to get a check.. when it doesn't bounce. That's the worst kind of f@ck up. It's the sort of thing that involves the bank.. and I don't want my banker calling me unless it's good news ! Anyway, I just had one come back dishonoured (from April/May), and it's been 24 hours without a response or explanation from them. I'll post again when I have a response.. who knows, it may be nothing more than an accounting hiccup.. but you just never know nowadays.. I've seen my share of long goodbyes. Cheers JL
Strange, first time heard this. There must be a problem. US checks usually do not bounce, never happened for me. Where are you located JL ?
I'm located in Australia - my bank clears US checks through Amex, which is why it takes a while before I know there's an issue, and why I suspect it's just an error of some sort.. if it weren't other folks would have reported simillar.. JL
Hello, I am getting the problem to integrate shareasale tracking code. As per the given instructions on shareasale, i have done the code <img src="https://www.shareasale.com/sale.cfm?amount=<?php echo number_format($_REQUEST['prc'],2);?>&tracking=<?php echo $_SESSION['SESS_TransactionID'];?>&transtype=sale&merchantID=XXXX" width="1" height="1"> it dont get fired and we get the test result fail plase can any one help on this or how do get help from Brain please help its urget
I didnot like shareasale at all and a friend of mine said the same thing, whose a merchant. The staff won't help you and they basically tell you to go somewhere else. Beware of them!
