This has also already been answered many times in the forum already. Guys, we really should make sure we're hitting the search first instead of duplicating threads all over the place. Otherwise knowledge and experiences get spread across multiple locations rather than being all located together. https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/lsi-could-u-tell-me-what-is-lsl.2637147/#post-18479888 Cheers
Well friend, Latent semantic indexing was Google's response to keyword stuffing. In this method Google bots looked for the richness of content built around a few keywords. It demanded that your title tag should be bold and say, if you happen to mention world's deadliest snakes in your title tag, then Googlebot would expect to find different synonyms of the words used in the title. It then collates different words present in the article and figures out what the article is actually all about. it is especially useful for bloggers and webmasters who wish to rank for their content. Caution however must be exercised in not to overuse certain keywords or Google penalizes not only that page but the reputation of the entire side resulting in lower page rank for the website.
Hi in my Opinion LSI or Latent Semantic Indexing is a complicated term with a simple explanation. The main concept behind Latent Semantic Indexing is to discover words and phrases that are related in the context of any document or group of documents. Search engines, Internet Marketing Professionals, and Website Designers often use LSI in their day-to-day activities.
To keep things simple, it's just pretty much all the keywords that's related to your main keyword. If you use the google keyword tool, just type up your main keyword. Once the search populates, all the keywords you see below are considered "LSI". When doing On-Page Optimization, people like you mix up the keyword density with some LSI in order to increase SEO boost. Hope that helps!
The main concept behind Latent Semantic Indexing is to find words and phrases that are related in the context of any content or document. Search Engines like Google consider this factor as one of the important part of their Search Analysis. LSI keywords should not only be used in your content but also when building your links. Mix up targeted keywords, related words and synonyms as your anchor texts.
Latent Semantic Indexing is different in a sense that it does not only analyze keywords in a single document. This new method of evaluating a document gave enough space for the search engine optimization (SEO) industry to block search results. Search engines have got a new indexing seo technology through Latent semantic indexing. The contents of a webpage are crawled by a search engine and the most common words and phrases are collated and identified as the keywords for the page. LSI looks for synonyms related to the title of your page.
