    Hi

I have been in online for past 8 years now and have been doing projects and providing services with relative success along side full time job.

Now I want to give my freelance services some brand name set up a legitimate business / bank accounts / all legitimate government formalities in any tax free country with very minimum of set up fee. But all legitimate.

Can some one please shed some light on this on the path to follow ? Any legitimate website to follow ? cost to expect etc. I will really appreciate input from people who have been on the same boat as me and have done this before.

Try to make your business in Delaware, USA. Tax free and easy to use. You can hire company to create your business there for about $1000. Next year should cost about $500.

You should be able to incorporate for $300. Delaware is the state you want to use.

    It depends ;)
On where the bulk of the income is coming from.
    On where you reside.
On where you are a citizen.

Do you intend to immigrate to the so-called tax haven, too?
For instance, Panama won't tax non-citizens on off-shore income.
    Consider a 3-step plan:
    1) register and accept funds in a country like Bermuda or Tobago
    2) pay your 'workers' in a country like Panama
    3) forget to declare that income to your home country

    Get a good lawyer and
    Best of Success!

i think the whole point of setting up a legitimate business is lost if you are trying to set it up offshore to escape on taxes. If you are in one country, would people really feel more secure about sending funds to a completely different country? Err, no. If anything, I think following the advice in this thread is a step backwards.

I think, either continue doing business the way that you are, or go legit by creating a business name in your own country. Perhaps see an accountant for advice before you start. While you may have to pay more in taxes and other expenses, you should be able to recover this as people will put more faith into you and your services as well, they will be able to claim your products and services on tax.

For example, If I was doing a website for a company and I worked without a proper company name or tax receipts then all I could charge is maybe $100, Whereas If It was a legit business with receipts and such that the company can claim it back on tax, then I would be able to sell that same product for $500 to $1000.

Legitimate companies setup shop anywhere they can get a legal tax break.

That is good for business, shareholders and consumers (so I've heard...).

That is why major US corporations are based (on paper) in Delaware, and have
subsidiaries and fiduciary agents in places like Bermuda and the Caymans.

For legal and tax advice, see a professional...for ethical advice, you'll get plenty here :)

I think it will work well where you manage that all think and most important thing is, it will not manage by on-line so first look on management.....

    Hi sami1255,

Delaware is not tax free. If you are American you will have to pay taxes on that money earned, if you are foreign, you will have taxes withheld for you.

The best country that fits your requirements is Hon Kong. Why?

Because Hong Kong has a Territorial Tax System, if you do no physical business in Hong Kong, you pay no revenues to Hong Kong. They are also a huge offshore center that has an ample amount of english speaking virtual offices, business incorporation specialists, bankers, accountants, and other service professionals you might need. The hugest advantage you have with Hong Kong over a place like Panama is that Hong Kong is an international financial center, so it will be much easier to accept payments online and do online banking there than other countries. And again, it is tax free!

Hope that helped with your choice of tax jurisdictions.

    Best regards,
    Brandama

You can setup your business anywhere in the world but if want everything in your name then probably you would need to pay more for anything like there is a pay for individual to setup a business in a country which is not your origin. So the saving you are doing will cost you in other way.

Say, if you belongs to USA and trying to setup your business in India then either you need to give whole authority to the one who is the origin of India or pay a fund to get yourself authorized to setup a business in India.

I was also looking for something like this in the past, you could try the following website: Delawareinc.com (I'm not affiliated with them in any way) they are awesome and cheap and you can do it all online, they will take care of everything.

Also you could find companies like this in england after a simple google search after: Form Online LLC England, you will find many websites that will provide you with that service and also they will give you sometime a virtual office with your own telephone and secretary.

Either way you need between $50-$300 to make an LLC.

Also I suggest everyone that is doing business on the internet and is somehow successful to make their own LLC, it's cheap, safe and also you increase your CTR and conversions like crazy, you will be legit and people will not think twice before ordering something from you

I used slogold.net once to register an offshore corporation and it worked fine. Not that I am endorsing them at the time ( a year ago ) they were legit. The guy who owns it posts on the talkgold.com forums so obviously do your due diligence checking out their recent reviews to make sure everything is kosher first.

I did this so my business can have tax free income and open up bank accounts worldwide, however obviously I do pay personal taxes on the personal income I make from the business to my local government. Don't think you can use the business account debit card to start withdrawing cash to yourself from ATMs either, all countries watch for foreign cards and trace them to nail you for tax evasion.

Well apparently slogold.com (the domain name) is for sale and is not an established website anymore.. but I'm sure we can find many more sites on the internet about this... there are many of-shore tax free countries where you can create an LLC but is so damn hard to find the best one .. damn :D

    OOPS www.slogold.net

This is the guy who runs it: http://www.talkgold.com/forum/member.php?u=12626
He has been doing it for years. But obviously do all your due diligence to make sure it's all legit and above board like I said it went well when I did it a year ago, but who knows now.

I've also used this person, Vicky Wan http://en.hkease.com/ to make a Hong Kong company. Again, at the time I did it (2yrs ago) all was good but you would obviously search around for recent reviews. I did it over skype all went well.

Keep in mind some things don't exist, for instance there's no such thing as a "New Zealand OFC". Official government of New Zealand said these entities don't exist:

I am doing the same thing you are doing.

Been freelancing online for over 4 years now but have almost 10 years' experience overall.

Now I have decided to start my own business and make "Virtual Assistance" one of the components.

I live in Nepal. Although not well known for offshore works, it is slowly making its presence felt. Lots of companies from abroad are setting up their business here.

You can find very good programmers and engineers. Most of the people involved in IT speak English well.

You may want to try here.

Let me know if you need additional help.

    Thanks
