How to install drupal 7 manually?

Please suggest some url link or tutorial. i don't want drupal to be installed by fantastico/quickinstall. rather than we need to install it manually.

Also, i used wamp server locally but don't know how to install on hosting.

 

1. Download Drupal 7 from drupal.org
2. Extract it under www folder (lets say drupal7)
3. Access it in browser (localhost/drupal7)
4. Give the database & other details for Drupal Installer

Yes, in the same way you can install. Upload all the files using FTP, then access your website.

 

After uploading, you will have settings.php exactly the same as your defaut.settings.php. This indicates that your website is not setup yet. Go to your website and follow all the steps to build your website and database. But before this, you need to create a database first, since you need the database name, database user name and password to setup. After all these are done, your settings.php will be altered accordingly and your empty database will be filled.

 

Internet is full of these simple guides, Drupal documentation should include it as well. Simple googling or something gives you really good answers. Why ask this from forum?

 

drupal is a cms which you have to download from their site and you can practice it by installing it to your localhost also, actually all cms factor are same at all, so if you know how to intrigate local host then you will able next process easily
