Best Way To Create A Site With Client Login & Admin Panel?

    Hi,
I'd like to create a nice looking, professional site that has a login area for client to use their login info and get to a client panel. There would be custom fields for placing a service order and obviously those would get stored. The admin login could review all orders.
    Need a payment system also.
OBViously, this has been done before many, many times..and probably a ton of different ways.
I'm familiar with Wordpress and would like to use a platform/system that has already been established for ease and cost reasons.

Anybody have any thoughts or input? Seems like in 2013 there would be a simple solution to this.

If you are familiar with Wordpress and know how to use it, then use a simple plugin called "WP e-Commerce" with wordpress theme. You will get all the options that you have mentioned here. This plugin located in below link :

    Best off luck.

Drupal would meet all of your requirements. You can download it "vanilla" and build it up, or one of the pre-packaged "distributions". There is one for commerce:

    Good luck, mate.

By the way, there is a Drupal section here (as well as a forum on their website) if you decide to try it out.

    https://forums.digitalpoint.com/forums/drupal.120/

The module that the kickstart package uses is called ecommerce. It's very good. There is also UberCart, too. Both have tons of options and by default Drupal allows you try create custom content with custom field types.

    Hi,
just to add, and I think this will clear up the goal quite a bit..
we need to have a private client login user panel for them to manage their orders(this is a targeted traffic selling website) So we need to have custom fields in their private panel. Of course we'll need a payment system. Ecommerce plugin is a great idea but seems to be for clicking on an aitem, adding it to your shopping cart and checking out. Doesn't have the private client login, custom fields capability.

Thanks for this information. Maybe there's a plugin that allows us to create this sort of thing or maybe we can use WP for the website but something else(not a plugin) for the client/admin login panels.

    THANK YOU :D
