Every time an SEO gives recommendation for a website his first enemy is the web developer. Web developer sometimes focus only in developing website where in he has no idea that the website is not a SEO friendly. For example a developer much prefer to use relative url than absolute url where in fact absolute url are the most recommended url structure for deep linking.

Yes. Totally agree with that while most of web developer and web designer the likely focus on the interface of infront which view by us only . As long the website is nice then their job is done. But backend with lot of broken links, flash file , image with no title , all file do not specific the name and came with lot of numberic, do not h1 size for the title and bold wrong keywords and so on . That is why SEO and web develop should come in the same time . If not most of SEO will likely revamp your whole websites.

Good site structure site does play a role in SEO of that website. And it is always handy to have a basic knowledge of seo for web developers and designers.
just kidding then dude. anyways i'm glad that someone responded into my post. well my experience in our firm i have lots of concerned about the website. part of our job is to check and made the website search engine friend so we need to coordinate with the developers, we need to get friends with them.
Interesting and valuable thread..... If we are going to do SEO for any site, Google want seo friendly website. website developer are playing important role to making seo friendly website.. If our website are not seo friendly, there are many error's are hurt our online reputation and Ranking... Error's Example :- broken links, markup validation, Css Validation, duplicate links, image errors etc, this Error's hurt our website's page loading in which our bounce rate is increase, also this Error's are Break our ranking... I am very interesting in this thread...because REMOVE YOUR WE SITE'S ERROR BEFORE START YOUR SEO WORK.
Web developer should know about some basic SEO factors or else he has to ask to seo expert before start development of website.
I think these days any good developer does have at least basic SEO knowledge, just the same as any good SEO professional would also have at least a reasonable standard of website development.

As you said developers plays important role in seo friendly website, yes its really true if a dev doesn't take care of any seo terms means then there is no effect in doing seo for that site.
