Is It Possible To Copy A Wordpress Design?

Hi,

I saw a wordpress site that I really like and found the theme he is using.
I would like to have exactly the same design as he has (He totally modified it).

If I just copy paste his CSS file through Firebug, Will it work?

No. You need the original PHP files for the theme (Unless he has only modified the CSS, in which case changing the CSS would work).

 

No you cannot copy the word press design. You need the original files for the design.

 

Copy template(by saving page from the site) = 1 day of work.
If you have the template, you need pictures, CSS, small templates of news. Its about 2 hours of work.

 

why would you want a site that looks exactly the same as someone elses??..have you not got a mind of your own....if you do it i hope they sue you

It is possible to design wordpess to look like other wordpress designs, however their functionality will be different.

No. Just by copying the CSS files you can not get the exact designs of his web sites. But if he has done designing in CSS only then it is possible to import its UI.

 

stop repeating what others have posted, i think we've established its a stupid thread and can't be done.

 

You need some company who can make this for you with small price. Just searching internet for this and because today you have so much opportunities for all your trouble

 

Buy the original WP theme you saw and modify it to your specifications using a different color scheme obviously and whatever WP plugins the original WP site admin is utilizing on their Wordpress site that you liked.

 

Hi you can copy their html and css from that WordPress site.. Then you can give that html site to some WordPress developers to make it as a WordPress site exactly like that..

 

You need some knowledge of php & wordpress templates.
You would need to rip the css, images, js and code the template files yourself.

There are some online theme generators that may get you started if you copied the html.

 

You can get help from odesk or fiverr to do this for you.

 

copy paste from Firebug will not work. You needs to take images and css from that theme and create new theme and insert images and css that mean here you needs to be re develop the theme.

->You have the skill to develop Wordpress theme from HTML template given.
->Just save the webpage/s from the reference site. Check the webpage/s in browser in offline mode if the required design has been downloaded.
->If the design is OK(without missing any part from the reference site), then you got the template.
->Start making the Wordpress theme with that template and refer some free premium/responsive wordpres themes for the features you want to add into the same.

Don't go with same look and same content website. Google will mark you spam as ur both sites are duplicate.

 

You can't do copy and paste for that you have to need only original web design.
