Has anyone had any good experiences with Paid Directory Submission, as in paying for your website to be placed in a directory? Which websites have worked for you, and why? The standard ones are; BOTW - $149 - Domain rank 5.9, 9 million links in Yahoo - $299 - No idea on the stats What U Seek - $24 - Domain rank 5.5, 500K links in Canny Link - $19 - Domain rank 4.6, 900K links in ProLink - $19 - Domain Rank 5.1, 116K links in Pegasus - $69 - Domain Rank 5.9, 172k links in Thoughts?
I've had success without any paid submissions at all. You just need to find an SEO strategy that works for you.
I think paid directory submission is the best one to follow to get fast approvals. If you go behind free directories the approval time may take one months to complete. There is one more reason to avoid free directory submissions, i.e they will exclude your results in a specific time.
Actually free directory take lots of time for approval but its safe . so, I always use free submission directories.
i agree with you. but one question when for the last time you have done free submission ? in 2008????? recently i took a try to do free submission. i tried 80 directories and only 20 of them were accepting and all of them are not yet approved. so for this mean time i am just giving my PR juice to their site. nothing else
WLmarketing are quite good. Directory Submissions will never give you loads of link juice however they are a very good for getting new sites indexed quickly
I still like the big 3 paid directories: Yahoo!, Business.com and BOTW.org. (Free: DMOZ of course but good luck with that). There are several others that are old and goodies if you have extra budget if not, niche directories (if still maintained) are great to grab. Most of those are free but usually take up to 30 days or more for inclusion.
havent tried any paid directory submissions but im doing good with just using different SEO techniques..
Well for me if you are serious with your business especially if your targeting specific location spending hundreds of bucks for your site to be listed in this Authority directory sites will be all worth it. It gives you more link juices and good amount of backlinks, but if you or your clients are short in budget a free one are good too just pick appropriate category for your site.
Thanks for all the feedback guys! I was looking for some suggestions of Paid directories, and why you think they are worth it. If anyone has any suggestions, and can justify why you would spend $30+ on the submission, it would be good to hear!
I don't think submitting to PAID directories is a good idea when starting out your link building campaign. It's very important to diversify your link campaign. Start off with Social Bookmarking and great content... and slowly extend your campaign in a natural link building way. Buying a paid entry here and there later down the line wouldn't hurt... but I wouldn't waste all my pennies on them.
Haven't tried paid directory submission yet, I usually use free stuff (even though it is hard to rank with it)
Hey, OP, You might want to check out the list of decent free directories I put together for the DP forum some time ago, here is the thread - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/my-list-of-free-online-directories-to-submit-to.2587434/ Please, see the reply by charmtolucky; this guy noticed the details I had not - I was sure I had succeeded to submit to all those sites for free Speaking of paid directories, I think you'd better look for directories that apply specifically to your niche. And, if you are a local business, I'd look for directories that list businesses by regions, states, etc.
Paid directory are beneficial but as per my view free directory is also working in SEO than why to waste money.
