Why Your Sales Page Isn't Working

Hello everyone!

I'm writing this today to alert you all to a key problem that many marketers have, both new and old. No matter how much time you spend writing a sales page, it just won't convert! I've had several products flop because of poorly constructed sales pages. My writing was fantastic, but that fact is this: PEOPLE DON'T READ EVERYTHING.

The key to having a successful sales page is to try and create some face to face interaction. Don't be afraid to show your smile!

How do you create this face to face interaction? Simple.

Video is key! Show your smile, be friendly, and more importantly, act like your customers are your friends. This will make them almost throw money at you.

I had just written a new eBook on self esteem. It wasn't selling very well even though I had put many hours into writing my sales copy. It looked nice, had a big buy button, and plenty of large red text. I made only one sale a week, and was incredibly frustrated. I had spent tons of money promoting and developing a high quality product, and nobody was buying! I decided to try recording an HD video, featuring my face. What happened? I went from one sale a week to one sale an hour!

Seriously, guys, if you're having issues with making sales, you need to try video!

And if you simply can't get in front of the camera.... higher someone! Great tip. Video is absolutely more engaging than simple testimonials and written copy.

 

Thanks! That is also good advice -- places like Fiverr are good to get people to do it for you.

I would not recommend Fiverr. Try SEOClerks instead. More reliable!

 

I've personally found Fiverr to be the most reliable. As long as the person you order from has positive reviews, there shouldn't be an issue.

I agree with Steven, @youngace.

Fiverr takes the $%£ with refunds/getting your money back. They don't properly investigate claims etc; And I have a few buyers take the money back after delivery without any reason.

I am hugely disappointed with Fiverr and instead I have now turned to SEOClerks where surprisingly, I have made more money than I did on Fiverr.

 

Video promotion is indeed an excellent way to create a presence and enhance one's conversions!

That is great advice. Taking that little leap out of your comfort zone and getting in front of the camera separates you from a lot of other marketers. It creates that extra personal touch and credibility that can sway someone to click the BUY button.

 

The one thing I would add is that your video doesnt have to be of your smiling face. We have used animated infographics to sell our product with very good success. I outsource them from fiverr for $20-35 a video (I do the upgrades as you do get what you pay for) which is cheap.
