Do You Like New Digital Point?

The previous rules were not working and something had to be done. If you do a little reading around these complaint threads you will some of the reasons and find some more explanations.
No, you posting in the BST is not too much to ask or spam, but the BST was added for members as a benefit for contributing members not to make this site strictly a marketplace.

The new system is fighting spam a lot better and has maid the BST a way better place. Before people would just create accounts just to use the BST and if you started a thread in there it was2 -3 pages back in an hour because of people and their duplicate threads. Now you can start a thread and it stays on the front page way longer and you get more exposure.

The spammers, scammers and people with less than 3 likes are the only ones that don't like this rule but it's one of the best things that has been done. And if you look around you can see stats and proof that traffic has gone up and spam and low quality users and post have gone down.

 

I too think it's a great idea. Now getting DP members to like what I write.. That's a different story.

 

Good stuff, still getting used to it though.

yes i like this new look with more good things in this new look some features also changed overall that is a great thing to change to new look.

 

@nosoulninja, Do you think it was wise of you to come on here and admit that you have 2 accounts? Do you not realize that the mods read these threads?

Who is going to like some one who is whining and moaning? Write some good useful content and I am sure some one will appreciate it in time. As a frequent visitor I can understand admin making changes. So many who have little command of the English language, post nothing all day long. They might do better with a forum in their own language. The use of translators is far from perfect and you can spot the users easily. The forum changes are interesting. I am sure a lot of the old links were probably starting to punish the site in Google search. That is something you want to watch for. Linking to sites that have been banned or labeled as suspicious. It can really hurt your SEO.

10-4 on that one. I was looking at the links available but gees they want to control all the data by the looks of it. They want your account balance in PP. I do not give out my regular bank info, so I do not know why I would give out my PP info? WTF over? I have stuff linked to it as well. Accounts, cards. Also may I ask why a guy posts a girl pic as his avatar? Yes I know guys will drool but I did not expect that from a mod. lol

Yes I love it. After I found the right buttons and I realized I have only one lonely like, I felt this overwhelming urge to spread all that knowledge and wisdom which I accumulated over the years of hard working all over the place so I can help and guide the ones in need.

It is really awesome to see that a forum as large as this one can keep monitoring and updating herself as regularly as well as Digital Point does.

I manage hundreds of websites and the most difficult thing for me is updating, monitoring, enhancing and operating all those pages.

So, for me, just the fact that Digital Point works so hard to give us guys the best visitor experience online is awesome itself.

Now, I am heading offline to get some of my websites this Xenforo stuff that people have been raving about.

The 3 likes system prevents the scammers/spammers. On the old system, can you imagine that they may make many accounts and easily make a scam/spam threads on the BST forum. Now, they will need to take the time to do that and I think they will get tired.

 

Fantastic upgrade on many levels.
