Suggestion Likes Requirement For Old Members

    My suggestion is pretty straightforward.

If a member has been registered for example for 2, 3, 4 or more years, then there should be no requirement for him to post in the market section.

It would be up to Administrators to decide what time requirement to choose. Because if a member has been registered for a long time, there is no needed to ask him ''to prove'' that he is worth posting in market section. Only newcomers should do that.

Some of us do not have that much time to post in forum, or post in market section only.

    Thanks.

If you are only here for the Marketplace pay to set up shop like any other real Marketplace. Or contribute its really not that hard. I don't think you should get access just for being here longer. Just my 2 cents. I have 8 likes :)

I think the new system is great, loving it! Old and new members receive the same treatment and should all have to earn their privileges.

If anything, the like requirement should be higher for old members since they have had more time to get them.

All the old reputation users had was imported as likes. How do you think some members had over 1,000 likes?

Did not know about that. But I think that really old members should be deserved to have this. I am not saying that you do not make sense, but they definitely deserved it.

Deserve a bonus for never getting any positive rep in the old system? That makes no sense.

You either haven't been that active in the forum or you've been doing business via private message/conversation (which is where it should be).

A look at your posting areas (as shown in your profile) - you have
    • 30 posts in Content Creation
    • 12 posts in Suggestions and Feedback
    • 11 posts in General Chat
    • 4 posts in Sports
    • and so on.
Maybe if you had posted in some of the valued discussion forum sections and shared your knowledge and experience you might have had better feedback.

I have a similar amount of posts and 20 likes. So yes, your peers have been telling you that your posts are crap. Maybe not crap, but standard. Not good enough that someone said, "Hey, I am really glad that guy answered my question".

Only members using likes have 3 or more and most members getting these likes do not need any more likes really. Everyone should be able to give likes only allowing people to give likes have 3 or more likes = mega fail. Likes should be for everyone to use

That would lead to widespread abuse. People would create 3 accounts and use them to Like their main account. Think of it like needing to prove yourself worthy of using all the features of the forum. You only need 2 more likes. The time wasted complaining could have been put to good use.

Not if you reported people giving out likes just to give out likes. Now a min 60% members can not post in the buy and sell section not good. This need to be changed DP is dying check Alexa & look around the forum you see a good amount of sections are dying

If we had a Dislike button you would be in trouble. What is the point of the like system if moderators have to watch out for like abuse and all the threads that make it through due to fake likes? The point of the like system is to reduce the trash being posted in Buy Sale Trade.

The only thing that is dying is your argument and your rationale.
