GOP House caves in again b/c of whacko tea party radicals//winner US economy

I love the bipartisan immigration bill. It requires illegals to pay back taxes, pass an English and civics test, a background check, and show they have had employment history. Then they get placed at the back of the green card line. Sounds fair to me and I would fully support a bill like this.

The problem they are going to run into is border security. This bill will no nothing to stop illegals from entering the country. That is the underlying problem with illegal immigration. They are now all here, so now what do we do with them? Just let them go free? Let them become citizens? Let them drain our entitlements and government services without ever paying any taxes? How many of these illegal immigrants do you think will be able to meet the immigration bill's requirements for a path to citizenship? I would say not many. This bill is about all we can do for the people here, but it starts at the border.

As for the tea party and the GOP, I think you fail to recognize that these "extremists" represent voter populations. They are there because the citizens they represent want their opinions and voices heard. It's kind of hard to make laws when the hipsters from New York want to limit magazines to 7 rounds, yet the people in Utah would rather lift the ban on automatic weapons. Federal laws don't always work out best for anyone. Like I said in the gun control post, states do a better job of making policies than the federal government. You could say immigration is a federal issue, but other issues are best left to states.

 

Earl, do you realize that a post like that makes you sound.... well... ya. What happened to you Earl!!! I wish you can go back to having some reason again, I use to be challenged by some things you would say, you helped me learn a couple of things, but now you are so skewed and unreasonable you add nothing to the conversation.

Um, that $51 Billion Sandy Emergency relief bill with all the pork? They only paid out $5 Billion to Sandy relief. It seems the rest went to fisheries in Nevada and other Democratic "schemes" you openly supported.

Obama gets schooled by a guy with rock solid educational credentials and about 30 more points on his IQ than our dumbass of a president. Watching Obama try and tune him out by texting in the middle of his speech was classic. Surely this radical must be an uneducated extremist, racist, who hates women, children and minorities, right?

I watched an Abramoff documentary the other night, how he made millions from tribes, playing both sides, ripping each for millions upon millions, lobbying to close casinos then lobbying to open them, tranferring millions from one lobby group to the next to hide the trails, all the while reaping millions for many GOP people. Incredible that anybody could support that shit. Most players still there. 4 years jail when I expected he'd be right beside Madoff. Criminals, the bloody lot of them imho.
