    I think it depends on your site. If your site contains product to sale, you need blogpost coz you'll get a review post and natural backlink. Otherway, contextual links will boost you popularity.

    I think contextual links give a boost to your page rank, but I think that contextual links on blog posts with relevant and quality content are the best.

    I prefer to choose Blog post for natural thing. Maybe sticky Blog post will combine the natural thing and the effectiveness of contextual link to increase your Page Rank. CMIIW

    Both of the Blogpost with relevant content and Contextual links are good, contextual link is better or say it give faster result. However, blogpost with relevant content may help you to generate more natural backlink if the visitor like the content and share the content
