Hi friends, I have an interesting question. I would like to know all of yours suggestion that what should be the other name for SEO?
hmmm, search engine marketing ? search experience optimization ? cat-and-mouse game cat -> your website / trying to rank well for a keyword mouse -> google / algorithm update
Human Visitor Optimisation - after all, you're making the site for human consumption and not search engine.
I would call that usability not SEO. SEO is more about making the content on your site more accessible to search engines.
SEO is more than just that now. If a site is a load of crap for visitors, it doesn't matter how "optimised" it is for search engines, it's never going to rank. Google's updates have shown that the focus is now more than ever on content that people want. Yes, the technical aspects still play a role, but the emphasis is more now on-site, making sure it's fit for human consumption.
I call it "marketing" becuase anyone not doing SEO in their marketing is missing a trick, also SEO seems to cover a lot more than just SEO this days, now it incorporates content marketing, inbound marketing, social media, conversion optimisation and a lot more that were not around a few years back like they are now.
Hey abyse, The cat mouse game is an interesting name. But sounds like a game name..So, think about a professional name..
I look at SEO as a promotional strategy, a way of marketing your site to make it more visible to users. So probably "online marketing" as one member suggested. Have a good day!
Google talks about website should be a website for users and not for search engines, I would like that search engines is for users and not for google.
Hey MarleneL.Haines, I am asking about your suggestion about the other name of SEO in your pint of view.
For Optimizers S - Systematic E - Efforts to O - Outrank Competitors & For spammers SEO Means "Spam Every Opportunity"
