How Much Should I Charge For Ad Space?

I been getting emails from businesses wanting to advertise on my site.

My site has a page 1 rank.

Last month analytics:
Visits: 170,036
Unique Visitors: 169,598
Pageviews: 224,189
Pages / Visit: 1.32
Avg. Visit Duration: 00:00:15
Bounce Rate: 81.70%
% New Visits: 99.74%

This months analytics so far:
Visits: 28,147
Unique Visitors: 28,106
Pageviews: 35,419
Pages / Visit: 1.26
Avg. Visit Duration: 00:00:19
Bounce Rate: 82.84%
% New Visits: 99.80%

Businesses want to place 728x90 and 468x60 banners and I'm not sure what to charge..
Any suggestions????

look at buysellads,com website, and compare your site with that websites on there. You can choose your category, then you can choose website based on monthly hits, and you can compare it with your website. Then you can have idea about it.

Charge as much as you can quote and work your way downward when they negotiate. You can use ad platforms to see how much they charge but that should be only for an idea.

With such good traffic you can also advertise on your own. Test out different offers and banners and see which one works best. This way you'll earn much more than renting out space.

Check what is being advertised on competition sites - you will get an idea what to promote.

Why not run Adsense for a month to get an idea of how much you can make per 1000 impressions? This way you can have a rough idea of how much you can charge advertisers.
Or contact some of the leading sites in your niche and see what they charge. I do both and it works well.
