For medium and large online business Magento is the best e-commerce platform. you can use Mageno's powerful multi-store feature to manage world wide stores.

Magento = well structured, secured and thousands of quality extensions/ modules.

    Good question from HridaySikder.
I tried both and OpenCart is easier for me. If i decide for OpenCart, is it safe for business? Nobody can harm my shop?

I think you should go with Magento for creating your store. It comes with a wide range of built-in features, is secured and multi-purpose, yet you won't be able to manage your store yourself without Magento developer engaged, because Magento is rather complicated software compared to OpenCart.

Magento is bloated. Go with Prestashop its much easier to learn development side of Prestashop plus it has many similar features (i.e. multishop) like the community edition of Magento. You won't be disappointed.

OpenCart I feel like nickel and dimes a lot of add ons, BUT Magneto runs a lot slower than OpenCart (a lot more processes).

I'd say it is just a feel thing, which one you think is easier to customize. Both are pretty solid options with pros/cons.

I have tried several carts including Magento, but for a client to maintain their own store (which was the case on one particular occasion), Magento can be daunting. For ease of use I would say Opencart or Prestashop.

Well, both Magento and Open Cart have their own perks but using Magento will require one to have detailed knowledge of it's architecture to ensure the best performance from the system.

If we consider the term "Worldwide" then Magento is best.
