I've been a member here for like 4 years and can't post in the marketplace (the only reason i visit here) mainly :/

 

I guess that's a job well done then.

 

I mainly buy and host competitions, I was midway through hosting a design competition when the site changes took place (very smart new layout BTW)- I didn't realize I couldn't host another until I couldn't find the 'post' button today.

I do understand why it's been done - though feel that some of us who have been members for a fair few years and whom had decent itraders got a bit of a bum deal.

But anyways - just my 2 cents worth.

I wasn't posting this to get likes, lol either way I'll get them by continuing to contribute as I always have done so, it was my suggestion and my feedback. If it's turned into a debate then okay? It's aimed at the creator of the site, it's not me having a go at digital point, it's me giving what I think is feedback and a good piece at that.

I joined this site a few months ago to offer work (paid) to members here. To even do that, I had to make 25 or 30 posts....which I did which took a month or so. I dont enjoy just having to post random bullshit so tried hard to make relevant posts.

Well after all that time, I got to make 1 single post in there (I couldnt wait months to have work done so the work I had was lost to people here) and now I have to go and find 3 people to like me ? Sorry, I'm not 15, I am 45.

Having run a reasonable size forum for close to 15 years myself, all I can say to the reasoning for this decision is....what a joke. If DP want a forum with no members, they have taken a very positive path. The content here is not that unique that people wont go elsewhere.

Oh well, off to sell some " I've been DP'ed t-shirts " And yes, I am aware of the porn term and pretty much feel like I have been.

Trust me, from what I've read of your posts you need not concern yourself about "posting to get likes". I believe unless you modify your attitude they will be coming few and far between.

 

If it required 50 likes or something crazy like that in order to post it would be unreasonable. 3 is hardly something worth complaining about.

 

3 "likes" is hard to receive for new members till that they are not doing well post. im complaining here for that. But its nice turn to DP.

 

It's been said a thousand times before, it's NOT hard to get likes if you have something useful to contribute {yawn}
The more you complain the less chance you will get any likes.

I also have contributed many useful information in the past including free scripts, themes, free templates, graphics with a good iTrader, Also I have buy/sell tons of successful deals. and now we are expected to have "Likes" in order to do what we were always doing?

How can now we get likes if we cannot add new threads?
