Guys i need your help. I have been trying to promote a coupon site [zattaya.in] of mine since past 8-9 months. I have done unique article submissions, bookmarks, directory submissions, press release, blog comments, backlinking etc...also New coupons are updated daily on the site. But all my efforts went in vain. In the beginning i used to get a couple of visitors from google but now i hardly get any and i don't see my site anywhere even for the lowest ranked keyword.
Here i'm attaching a screenshot of my google webmaster account.

It could do with your keyword stuffing in the footer. Google is bound to not like the word 'coupons' in the link text for 35 links at the bottom of all pages. You are competing for very competitive keywords. So keep in mind that you need to build a stronger link profile than your competitors. That may take longer than a year.

Just stuck your url into majestic and your backlinks are pretty weak.
Your backlinking is pretty steady until the 10-12 of Jan where you have a huge spike of 400+ indexed links, you obviously used software or ordered a backlink gig on fiverr either way it looks bad.

Haven't looked at the site, no idea what the comp level of your KW's is, but as said coupon related maybe competitive.

You need strong links if you want to rank, which are going to cost you money, or a whole lot of time if you want to go the long route.

It's very easy to see if you are penalized:

If you don't have dedicated tracking software (and you should), type in a few of your keywords into google search. If you don't see your site anywhere in the first 10-20 pages you have a penalty. simple as that.

If your site is just not ranking well, good news. Changing content around, de-optimizing, adding new articles, and building some high quality links will likely bring your site back.

Penalized site might as well build a new site... or used paid traffic if you think it well convert. SEO is over for that domain despite all the charlatans claiming otherwise.

First of all please check the message section of webmaster tool to make it sure, is there a message from Google for any 'panelty'. If there is no message from Google, please have a little patience then and send Google a re-consideration message.

On the other hand I also want to tell you that it is not only you who has lost ranking, but there are many out ther (almost all of SEO guys) weeping out there because of loosing ranking and traffic after 13th and 17th Januray updates.

Sorry friend, but google is not nice enough to send you a little letter if your site has been penalized. They send out un-natural link building warnings (sometimes), but certainly not: "Dear Mr. Webmaster, we are writing to inform you that your site has been penalized due to the following reasons."

That would certainly be very nice of them, but that's not how this works.

All I can tell you is you are one of the lucky ones. Many many many people have sites dropped from rankings (penalized) with no such nice note.... I rank people's sites for a living mate, and hear these stories on a daily basis from clients who went out and used some cheap services and all their work has been destroyed.

I'm glad you had such a positive experience with google penalty. Many never get their sites back to matter what changes they make or how many consideration requests they send in.
