    Yes, Endurer has right, one of the best combo is "vBulletin + vbseo" however mybb has got very clean and secure structure too.

    I have been using Mybb on my forum 2 yrs now it is great easy to use many addons and a good # of templates

    Mybb having good results if you are looking for free software, paid themes are available for cheap too

    It really depends on how much you are looking to invest. It may be best to start out with a MyBB forum, just to get used to running a forum. MyBB has a large support community, and if you find out you like running a forum, you can always switch to VBulletin with the VBSeo modificiation.
