These are questions about the Marketplace here at DP, not the BST forum section, but the actual Marketplace itself where Scripts and such are sold.

This has required me to link my PayPal account so I can receive payments, this is fine and I've linked it, however, I've read the rules and it states there is a 20% fee on all sales - While this is completely fine by me, I want to know how you're doing this... Will I receive the payment and then be expected to forward on 20% of this to DP? Or will DP receive the payment and then I have to request my money, or what?

I just would like to know this, that's all.

    Thank you. :)

The buyer pays you (the seller) direct, and our fee automatically comes out of that at the time of payment. Say you we're selling something for $20... The seller just sees the $20 transaction to you, on your side you would see the $20 incoming payment, and then an extra transaction that is $4 going out to us,

If you are curious from a technical standpoint, it's not possible to do with a PayPal account with standard permissions. We had to go through a pretty long/detailed review process to be able to set up transactions like that. It's called an Adaptive Chained Payment (there can even be a 4th party to the transaction if you offer an affiliate percent and an affiliate payout is due for the sale). In the end the seller knows all parties that they received money from or paid money to, but the buyer just sees the amount they paid to the seller.

That's awesome and an extremely clever way of doing things, digitalpoint.

Thanks for the clarification on the technical points of it - that is appreciated.
