Best Scripting Language

What point? Besides the ones on top of their head?

You wouldn't use a hammer to tighten a bolt, so why would you use one language when the other is better suited to a particular task?

 

Java script is better because

• JavaScript is the default scripting language for browsers but Vb Script must be specified as the scripting language.
• JavaScript has cross-platform support from all popular browsers while Vb Script is supported MS IE only. VBScripters would thus loose a sizable audience.

 

Your point is pointless.

Javascript is a client side language. Code executes on the client. As long as java is installed, cross platform nirvana is achieved.

VBScript is a server side language. Code executes on the server; browser version makes no difference.

 

JavaScript is better than VB Script in my opinion.

 

JavaScript client side, or PHP server side.

 

Like the others pointed out, Javascript is definitely the best of the two

 

"Java" isn't synonymous with "JavaScript". Two entirely different languages and methodologies.


VBScript is Microsoft; JavaScript is open-source. Go with JavaScript.

java script is used java platform
where vb script is used Microsoft platform.

I think that JAVA Script is the best. I'm don't know java so well , but I have some knowledge of java . If you asking , because you want to choose what to learn , I'm offer you to learn JAVA.

 

If you mean client script, recommended javascript and use javascript framework like jQuery

Java is not a scripting language, Javascript is. The two bear the same relationship as ham and hamburger - an alphabetical one and nothing more.

jQuery is ridiculous. Uses way too much code for tasks that can be accomplished in some cases with basic CSS.
