    your all back link will be counted but google shows very few, once u enter your domain in search engine then u get all links

    it is good to ping where the links are to speed things up, but I've been told Google is not reliable to check for backlinks. Check with yahoo and see what shows up.

    Actually Google webmaster tools shows total number of backlinks to all the site pages. It will also let you download sample of url's that link to your specific page. Yahoo site explorer will only show 1000 links but Google will let you download important links in excel format to your computer. So, I recommend using Google webmaster tools instead of yahoo site explorer. Yahoo site explorer is good for checking backlinks to other sites that you don't control.

    I think you can continually to give your sites hight quality backlink... few high backlink will slove your problem until your domain get older
