Paypal is definitely recommended 2Checkout is good as well but their fees are simply ludicrous they charge you to join, they take 5.5% and something like 35 cents of each transaction and when its time to move that income to your back account they charge you an additional 13$ for a check.

I have used 2co in the past and they are good. The best thing about them is that you can even accept Paypal payments as well.

I also have Moneybookers business account and to be honest, I didn't use it much because of the complicity of their procedure.

For personal payments, I would suggest you to either go for Paypal/Moneybookers and for business payments, 2checkout. Plimus is also good but their fees are high and they release payments after 45 days, that a lot of time. 2checkout releases payment every week.

Read this for more information about fee and payment withdrawals:

It's horses for courses. You have to look at the charges and how much you are likely to be pushing throught the account. Also you need to look at what you are selling.

For example, PP have been known for a couple of years for pulling the plug in the middle of a product launch if they don't like it. Usually it's for virtual products. So at the very least, if you are using the product launch model, tell them you are and to expect a sudden rush of sales.

Similarly with a merchant account. This can be cheapest, but they won't like and don't understand virtual products - info products.

So a lot depends on what you are selling. Also, times change fast and new players come into the market. A fairly recent one is Product Pay for example.

Stripe: they will include a payment gateway and a merchant account. Depends on your type of business and needs

FastSpring: offers recurring billing, will provide a merchant account, PCI certified and offers CD/DVD for product bundling.

Similar to FastSpring and Avangate, BlueSnap does not require a U.S. merchant account. BlueSnap is a full service payment provider. Quick integration, customized buy now pages, multi currencies and languages, one click charge, coupons, product bundling, 38 payment methods in addition to the credit card selection, PCI certified and much more making a complete solution for any vendor selling online digital goods.

Paypal is the most widely used for online payment systems. It is also the easiest for both sellers and buyers in my opinion. 2CO is very easy to and some overseas customers may like this option better than Paypal. I don't think paypal is accepted globally.

Is it possible to use Moneybookers as a direct payment processor? I mean, is it possible for someone to pay for your services directly, without signing up for a MB (Skrill account). If it is, has anyone tried this?

Yeah, I thought so. I think that number of customers that come from PayPal, is still much bigger then MB.

For me PayPal is best, 2CO's setup charges is very costly and they do not accept Mastro card. Can't say about other option

I also Go For PayPal, There Fees are Low & It is very Convenient to Use. Instead of PayPal I don't Think Anyone is Comparable to PayPal.
