Is It Possible To Change A Url Time Stamp?

Hi,
I have been researching an article and it appears the URL time stamp date is 4 days PRIOR to an event I am researching. Is is possible to change a URL time stamp (e.g., www.digitalpoint.com/01/23/2013).

Let's say Digital Point wrote an article and it was dated /01/23/2013, can I change it to say /01/23/2013 AFTER Google crawls the site?

Yes you can, and you can even give a 301 Redirect to the new link from to old so that it won't hurt your Site with SEO

 

Maybe I'm not asking the correct question or explaining myself?

1. Can I change the URL that has already been cached?
2. Let's say I write an article (mydomain.com/article/01/21/2013), can I (after it has been published and cached) change that EXACT URL? NOT create a new, but change the current?

 

If you are using wordpress you can change the url structure by

Are you asking if you can change cached content which resides on googles servers ??

 

I'm familiar with WP and this is not WP.

 

I have attached a screen shot of the URL.

• Can this URL be manipulated after cache? (I doubt it).
• Notice the URL date? This is not a WP site, so is the date from the server when the article was written?

 

You are confusing the term URL with something else.
A URL is the string that starts with http, a resource locator for content. The thing you want to change appears to be content at the url, and the answer is obviously, no, you cannot change content on another server.

You can change the url at which you can see that content. You can't change the url that Google has cached. (Basically, you can change anything on your own site, you can't change anything at anyone else's site.)
