I have had a lot of clients come to me that have nothing in their pocket to start their marketing business, but are desperate enough in anyway to succeed online. What suggestions would you make to your client if they asked you that. Here is my suggestions to start the conversation: - First you need to start selling an affiliate product that interest you - Write at least one quality blog a day on that particular niche. - Participate at least one hour a day on a forum focused on that niche. - Comment on blogs and facebook groups related to that niche with your affiliate link liked to that group getting you back links - Finally write craigslist ads that are relevant to your product and watch the sales come it. So what's your suggestions guys
I have been lucky to find some people that I can learn from. So it may be a good idea to find a good mentor that earns a lot of money online and follow his advises. Sometimes it can cost you but sometimes it is better to invest money than a lot of time and energy. It really can be very hard for beginners because there are so much misguided in formations and fake gurus out there. Some basic principles that I would recommend to anyone: Believe in yourself. Educate yourslef. Take massive action
I would write a Kindle book. Cost absolutely nothing, apart from your time. If you pick a good niche, you will definitely sell some books. My first book has sold 130 copies (at $4.99 each) in less than a month. If I can keep that up and write a new book every 2 months, I'll be very happy.
About $400 so far. Some from sales and some from borrowed books. Over 50 people have borrowed the book. For December borrows, Amazon paid $1.88 per borrow. So almost as good as selling a book.
They can start off as being a freelancer first. tell them the way to success is not the easy. You should start from the BOTTOM (emphasized) before you will be able to reach the top. If they want to earn big as starters, then they better stop dreaming. They should have something in their "pocket" first before they can become successful.
That's partly true, but there is no need to start right at the bottom. Many people have enough skills to start nearer the top. Many people already have experience from other jobs, so there's no need to go back to the bottom to start again.
One route would be to set up a fiverr gig and sell article writing services. Sign up to mturk and do jobs there. Jobs include, testing websites, article writing, filling surveys etc They could use the money from these "jobs" to start a more profitable business online
If I was really desperate, I'd forget about internet marketing and get a day job. It's too much stress trying to make money online if you're desperate. By all means, do some online work in the evenings, but first priority should be to get a regular job so that you have enough to pay the bills and see you through the month. Also, cut back on unnecessary expenses. Only spend what's absolutely essential. You'd be surprised at how little you actually need to live if you cut out the things that you don't really need. And no, you don't need TV subscriptions, a new car, a holiday, lattes at Starbucks, etc. Cut back on everything and get yourself sorted out first.
If they are sitting at home trying to do internet marketing, and getting no where, then they are not desperate; If they were desperate, then they would put the bag of chips down, go get a job, then maybe use some of that money to invest in their online venture. I figure 99% of people that want to make money online have no desire to work, they do not want to work a real job, and the same goes for internet marketing, they want quick and easy income, they do not want to work for it.
I would actually advise that they start with writing 1 blog per week, not daily. I think it's easier to come up with quality content that way, and make it a habit. If they want to write more in the future they can. The interaction on the forums is definitely important!
While I agree with the comments that say that if you're desperate, get a day job. It does not work out well for all. Its not easy to get a job that pays you enough and not drains you out so that you can do some of your personal stuff at end of the day. To all who are desperate, I would suggest try the micro payment sites like Fiverr and its clones, check the Beer Money thread at Reddit and most importantly read up on the Instant Consultant concept by Chris Guillebeau (hope I spelled it correctly)- Google the concept and you won't be disappointed.
Yes, I agree on getting a day job and cut back on expenses. At least to pay the bills and get you through each month. And while doing that, save a little so if you decide to focus on working full time (internet marketing related stuff) and not yet earning, you can have something to get on your pocket to get you through. It's hard if you are only dependent to one source of income.
Fiverr isn't that simple. You can post gigs till your blue in the face. If you don't have any reviews most people won't give you the time of day.
I meant BUY gigs for your markteting...that said, I've made almost $5k on Fiverr over the past year..
Hit me up on there if you got something good to use. user name beastmode80. Mostly i get video work done but if u got a really good service then i'll get it and recommend it to my subscribers.
