An orphan page might refer to a page that isn't linked anywhere on the site, like in the navigation or even the sitemap. It might not be immediately accessible, so it can appear invisible in site structure, but still be published on the web. just my thoughts, but correct me if I'm wrong...

I had never heard of this before today, so thank you very much for posting this question. Actually found a post that has a question in that needed asking, unlike some of the other tripe posted in other places on the forum.

Generally, orphan means that is not in use. As the other members say it should be the one that is not linked from anywhere.

Orphan page is a web page which resides on a website and is a part of it; it does not provide a link back to the originating page. Orphan pages are also used as invisible pages which only a subset of visitors is able to read.

An orphan page is kinda like a dead-end page, where there is no link back to where you came from, and therefore no way to escape from it.
