Paid traffic is your only realistic option here mate. As far as SEO "web hosting" "buy hosting" etc. are out of pocket and out of expectation. But a well targeted and tested Adwords or Media Buying Campaign will yield you great results.
Now recent updates tell us that if you need more customer through search engine than you should use paid channels like adwords, facebook advertisement and other affiliates it can be more help full to attract visitor online and get more ROI.
If you decide to go the route of PPC, BE CAREFUL. Many people get burned trying PPC for the first time - it requires a lot of testing to get right and can be risky. For you, I'd recommend easier (and probably more targeted) traffic sources like networking with other blogs or creating a Facebook page/Twitter that ADDS VALUE for your customers.
You would need to step up on your marketing/promotion and go for paid ads. There are bigger, well-known webhosts out there that you are competing in rank against,. so combining your SEO efforts with paid ads is better, than just relying on SEO. Hello Jonathan, here is a tip from me - add your hosting company to social networking site like facebook or twitter, thenk link the page to your friend, ask them to "like" the page to get more attention from his/her contact information.
I would try out Google AdWords if I were you. Pitch in a bit of cash and see how effective it is. But, don't do any other marketing because you won't see how effective it is for your host. You won't know where your sales are coming from if you do more than 1 method at a time. If AdWords doesn't work then try something else. If it does then I guess you've found your source of clients.
There are many ways to drive traffic for online website. You can try social media, especially Facebook Fan page, SEO, Email marketing, paid ads, blog and forum marketing. You can find the more effective ways for you and insist on marketing in those ways.

Google Adwords is going to be way too expense to get customers for web hosting, you would need to have very deep pockets. Your best friend is going to be word of mouth. Be sure your provide a top notch service and on top of that, ask for referrals. You could also set up a referral program to help get things going.
I recommend solid targeted traffic coming directly from google, cragislist, or yahoo, I hate paid traffic, but niches like this may need it for PPC
