Feedback Not Able To Upload File In Market Place

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by yh1988, Jan 20, 2013.

    Hi,

I was trying to sell my ebook in the market place.
After writing my sales page, I try uploading my ebook to DP.
However, it look like taking forever to upload the file.
Even I switch to other browser, it doesn't help at all.

    One additional question:
    - Is there any charges to put my sale in marketplace?
Since we are using the marketplace system in DP for each transaction?

Hope to get some respond here. Thanks.!

How big is your eBook (file size)?

Yes, the charges are the same as they were before the new site.

The file size is 167KB which I don't think it is a problem.

Can I use my own link to sell instead?

Sure, you can put it in your signature or something.

Yeah... trying to figure it out. I've been uploading stuff just fine so not sure where the issue might be yet.

I mean placing my own "buy it now" button in the thread?

Nope sorry... eBooks are just too spammy. That's one of the reasons we built a digital goods marketplace. If you don't want to you use it, you don't have to, but you'll have to sell your stuff somewhere else.

Okay. By the way, when do you expect the upload issue will be resolved?

Not really sure... first I have to figure out how to make it *not* work... so far everything I've uploaded worked fine.

Just guessing but could adblockers do any harm?

Yeah definitely... try it without? Ad Blocker always mucks stuff up since it blocks things like JavaScript and alters the DOM of the page.

Are you able to look at your browser console to see if you are getting any sort of JS errors in there or something?

Hmmm... wtf... are you able to test a different browser to see if it's something specific to the browser or not?

I try uploading the same file in this thread and I am getting a error stating that the file size is too large to upload. In fact, my .pdf file only have 169KB.

But I have no issue to upload a 3KB .txt file

This should be fixed... the system was incorrectly putting incorrect file size constraints on uploaded files at 100KB.

Attachments to threads are limited to 100KB.
