Looking for free ways to advertise my website

    I'm looking for some free traffic exchanges, free safelists, ezines and newsletter that allow free ad placements. I've made a search on google but there are just too many of them out there.

    Have you ever used the above methods to drive traffic to your site? If yes, what would you recommend? I am not looking for a lot of traffic, but a decent number of visitors.

    Most certainly, I have been using traffic swarm to grow my opt in lists and site releases for well over a year now. I use traffic swarm as part of a two program free viral traffic engine. The other program being instantbuzz. Both can be used together to earn free credits towards your site being seen through refferals and the building of huge downlines in both.

    Alone traffic swarm is a great way to promote cheap and effectively. Plus if promoted effectively it becomes even better over time.

    Join social networking sites and participate to build up a good reputation, same with forums. Then when you promote sites be careful not to look spammy.

    Honestly, be careful with some of those free ways, as they can sometimes be a huge waste of time and even make your site look bad (not all, but I'm just saying be careful).

    I've found niche specific forums to be gold mines if you post quality posts there, and it doesn't cost you a dime. I make hundreds to thousands a day JUST off of forum messages. I use other methods as well, but if you find the right niches and the right forums, you can really take in money.
