They are both great options and you can use them both into the same website without a problem :) Depending on your site affiliate marketing can get you greater earnings but its not guaranteed.

Amazon is great but trully I will never try it only if I had an high traffic website because they pay little affiliate comission for every product they sell thru your cookie. You should try clickbank/jvzoo/cj or others witch pay a lot more than Amazon.

I have zero experience with affiliate marketing and adsense is not really that good for some niches (unless you have some insane traffic and in that case other systems do provide better alternatives). I don't think there's an issue though with running them both on your site, so you can surely try to monetize via these systems (and others, as you feel comfortable using them).

I believe Text and banner ad networks like adsense is a cost effective solution for advertisers. And a great way for bloggers to earn extra income. And from which i have learned affiliate way is much hard and result making than all others.
you register with vendor's sites, grab your affiliate link, and add it in your blog. Vendor pay upto 80% per sale ,when you refer someone to their product, and they sign up under your affiliate link!So i give Affiliate way. a +.Means, they brings much more revenue than all others, when you do it properly.

Lukk - Affiliates all the way. Adsense is way too niche and will harm your SEO. I make a small fortune a month on car hire. If you like this comment I will PM and send you the paper i did not it.

    Good luck luuk

Affiliate, because it's more relevant to the site (when you do it right) and isn't ads (which most people hate).

Actually that depends on you. If you are well organized on adsense program you can try adsense program. Again, if you are good at marketing program and understand the products run good, you can try affliate program.

I prefer Affiliate. Adsense is great. But if you have a high traffic site, you should really give some affiliate program a try. Most ads adsense put into out sites are affiliate offers. Advertisers make money selling products through those ads.

Why make Google and others rich with your traffic? Cut the middle man. I know, it's not easy as it sounds. But it can definitely make more money than adsense.

One of my sites only have like 400 pageviews per day. If I add adsense I won't even make $10 a month. But with just Amazon, I average $40 per month

If you are like me, who rely on adsense and affiliate sales both, I will suggest make a combination of both of it in right way. So that you don’t turn out to be an affiliate market blogger, and with useful content you will end up making some handsome amount of cash by the end of the month.

I actually use both on niche sites I've owned in the past. If I were you though, I would test things out by adding affiliate offers to your current Adsense sites. Then see if your earnings are positively or negatively affected
